The Idea Behind the Blankets

I think I have always been a kid at heart. 

I love color, I love collections, I love movies, blankets, and ice cream. I had the idea to make a quilt for my friend's kids that involved a lot of work. I collected almost 400 little pieces of fabric, cut them out and arranged them together to make a quilt. Her kids were obsessed with it and honestly, so was I. This thing turned out pretty cool. 

Here's a picture of it up on the wall while I was still putting the fabrics together. 

But I had created a problem. 

Now my kids wanted one. And then my nephews wanted one. And I just couldn't go through that work again. 

I decided to try my hand at design and I put together all of these little 'blocks of fabric' to make one big I spy with my little eye blanket. Having it printed on minky would make it so soft but also thick and durable for lots of use from little kids. 

Thus the Minky Discovery blankets were born. Not only are there over 200 different images to find on each blanket but everything you need to find is written down around the edge so you can sit and play hide and go seek with a super cuddly minky blanket for kids. 

The colors are vibrant and wonderful. The images are fun and the text around the edge can help with learning to read and with object recognition. The ABC blanket is designed to help with letter and number learning specifically.
